Agile Software development practices according to Scrum and eXtreme programming are more and more known and applied on small projects (team size 6 - 10 people). The question that will be answered during this session is how those practices were applied to a large J2EE development project (60 people) executed by a mixed team of ARDATIS and ACA-IT solutions.
Johan Lybaert is program manager at Ardatis. He has a track record of more than 25 years of the world of ICT. Johans focus is the successful delivery of large projects. Applying the most appropriate development methodology in a pragmatic way is one of his key success factors. Today Johan is in charge of a large J2EE development project called Ventouris. A group of more than 60 developers is actually realizing a unique, major application to be used by more then 400 concurrent users through an ASP-service (application service provider). Today, five teams are simultaneously working according to the Scrum and eXtreme programming practices.
